Beginning Production

A player must submit an operation to the Hive blockchain in order to begin resource production on one or more plots that they own in a Region. As part of this operation, the player must specify the amount of each input resource that they would like to allocate towards resource production on the specified plots from their resource inventory in the Region. Please note that worker cards and any other boosts must be applied / staked on a plot before resource production can begin.

For example, if a player is beginning production on a land plot that contains a Foundry building (which refines Ore into Metal Bars), then they would need to specify the amount of Ore they want to use, the amount of Wood that they want to be used to provide fuel for the smelting, and the amount of the specific food resources they are making available for the workers to consume.

The player must have enough of these resources available in their inventory for the applicable Region at the time they begin production, and then those resources will be "locked" so they cannot be transferred or otherwise used while production is ongoing. Please note that these resources will continue to take up storage space in the Region until a Harvest occurs on the plot.

In addition to the input resources, the required amount of DEC staked in the Region to power the workers on the plot will also be locked and will be unable to be unstaked from the Region until production is stopped.
